Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta provided crucial updates on his squad ahead of their North London Derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur, scheduled for Sunday, September 15. 
The manager focused on the condition of captain Martin Ødegaard, who sustained an ankle injury while on international duty with Norway.
Although Arteta expressed that the club's medical team is still conducting assessments, he emphasized that "more tests are needed" before deciding on Ødegaard's participation. A final decision will likely be made closer to match day.
In addition to Ødegaard’s uncertainty, Arsenal faces further challenges with Declan Rice suspended after receiving two yellow cards against Brighton prior to the international break.
Arteta is also without new signing Mikel Merino, who is still recovering from a shoulder injury.
