On the afternoon of Sunday, September 14, former U.S. President Donald Trump issued a statement to reassure his supporters of his safety following a security incident at one of his golf resorts. The incident involved a man being taken into custody with a high-powered rifle at the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach.
Trump addressed his supporters directly, saying, “There were gunshots in my vicinity but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!” This marked the second firearms-related incident involving Trump since July.
