Erik ten Hag Explains Antony's Absence:
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that Antony's absence from recent matches is due to the Brazilian winger needing to "earn the right" to play.

Erik ten Hag Explains Antony's Absence:

Ten Hag emphasized that players must demonstrate the right attitude and performance in training to secure their place in the team.

Antony, who joined Manchester United from Ajax for £86 million two years ago, has struggled to make an impact this season and has not started any games so far.

The last time Antony featured for Manchester United was in their 2-1 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion, where he came on as a substitute in added time.

Since then, he has remained on the bench, including during Manchester United's recent 3-0 victory over Southampton last weekend. In that match, goals from Matthijs de Ligt, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho secured a comfortable win for the Red Devils.

Ten Hag addressed Antony's situation in a recent press conference, stating, "We have training every day and the players have to earn the right to play. When players are doing the right things in training, when the attitude is good and they show performance in training, they will earn the right to play."

Ten Hag's comments suggest that Antony's future playing time will depend on his ability to show the right attitude and performance in training sessions.
