Chris Smalling has officially signed a two-year contract with Al-Fayha FC, marking a significant move to the Saudi Pro League. This transfer concludes his five-year tenure at AS Roma, where he made a notable impact both defensively and offensively.

Smalling joined Roma in the summer of 2019, initially on loan from Manchester United, before making the move permanent. During his time with the Giallorossi, he made 155 appearances and scored 10 goals. His contributions were pivotal in Roma's defensive line, and he played a crucial role in their 2021-22 UEFA Europa Conference League triumph.

Before his stint in Italy, Smalling had a long and successful career at Manchester United. He joined the Red Devils in 2010 from Fulham and went on to make 323 appearances, scoring 18 goals. Smalling was part of the squad that won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a League Cup, and the UEFA Europa League.
