The 52-year-old actress, married to Will Smith, shared a thought-provoking post before making this change.
In her post, she discussed societal expectations placed on women, stating, "A man can CHOOSE to belong to someone. And if he does… he is considered noble. A woman is told she MUST belong to someone or … she is not worthy." She also highlighted how some religious traditions render the goddess powerless without her male counterpart, and in others, the spiritual influence of the feminine is not even recognized.
Jada and Will Smith, who have been married since 1997, have two children: Jaden, 26, and Willow, 23. Despite their long-standing relationship, Jada revealed last year that they had been living separate lives since 2016 but have no plans to divorce. She emphasized their commitment to working through their issues, expressing their deep love for each other and their determination to figure out what their relationship looks like moving forward.
In her recent post, Jada encouraged women to recognize their inherent worth, stating, "We mere mortal women are worthy simply because we exist! And those of us who have cultivated our Queendom within our inner kingdom and have a deep relationship with the Great Supreme... If we so CHOOSE to bond with someone from this space... we will erect monumental love and give birth to treasures." This message, along with her decision to go private on Instagram, has left fans curious about the current state of her relationship with Will.
