Six Dead, One Injured as Gunmen Open Fire in Congo Community Market in Plateau State

Gunmen have killed at least six individuals in the Congo community, located within the Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to sources from the community, one person sustained injuries during the attack and is currently in critical condition, receiving medical treatment.

The attack occurred around 7 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, when the assailants stormed a market in the Daffo ward. The gunmen "opened fire on the victims shortly after the market had closed for the day"
