During an emotional appearance on The Tamron Hall Show on September 23, McGee opened up about her experience, marking a difficult chapter in her personal journey.

“I did lose the baby,” McGee revealed, speaking about her pregnancy with husband Marcello Thedford. She explained that the loss occurred unexpectedly, closer to the end of her first trimester. "It wasn’t expected. It was closer to the end of the first trimester. We really don’t have any real reasons why.” Despite the tragedy, McGee expressed gratitude for the opportunity to conceive at her age, saying, “I was still so grateful to have the experience of being able to conceive at this age and this time.”

Reflecting on the emotional aftermath, McGee recounted how the miscarriage profoundly impacted her well-being. She shared that she struggled to find the strength to get out of bed, as the loss brought with it the weight of unfulfilled dreams. “There are so many things that come when you really want a family and you want your family to be complete,” McGee said. As a mother of three adult children, she emphasized the difficulty of accepting that “it was very hard to face the fact that that’s not going to happen at this point in the junction.”

Since her announcement in June, McGee has found support from other women who reached out to her during this challenging time. She expressed appreciation for their comfort, acknowledging the common, yet often unspoken, struggles many women face after miscarriage.

When asked by Tamron Hall whether she and her husband planned to try for another baby, McGee admitted her uncertainty. “Part of me doesn’t ever want to go through this again,” she confessed. However, she also noted the other side of her emotions, saying, “But then a part says, ‘Ah.’” McGee explained her current mindset, concluding, “We’ll just keep loving each other. If something happens that way, fine, but I don’t want to put another anxiety on myself about, ‘Oh I’ve got to have another baby, because this didn’t work out.’ Sometimes it really is better to let go and let God.”

Beyond pregnancy, McGee shared that she and her husband are considering fostering a young girl from Belize. This decision reflects the couple’s ongoing desire to build a larger family. “We’d just really like a tribe. We’d like a family. And that’s what we’re going to work on. Whether it comes naturally or not,” McGee added, signaling their hope for the future.

Back in June, McGee had shared her pregnancy news in a playful manner. She posted a photo from Malacate Beach, Belize, showing off her baby bump. The TV star, best known for her role as Angela Moore on Boy Meets World, also took to Instagram to reveal her pregnancy, writing, “At the tender age of 54, I have found myself pregnant. Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you.”

Already a mother to three children from previous relationships, McGee is no stranger to parenthood. She shares her 33-year-old daughter, Raima, and 30-year-old son, Langston, with her ex-husband Randall Courtland Davis, and has a 26-year-old son, Ezra, from another relationship.
