Nigeria was held to a goalless draw by Rwanda in their second match of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers at the Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali. Despite creating several opportunities, Nigeria was unable to break through Rwanda's resilient defense.

Ademola Lookman, who had been in excellent form, saw his goal disallowed due to an infraction in the box. Victor Boniface also came close but was denied by the crossbar. The Rwandan goalkeeper, Fiacre Ntwari, delivered a standout performance, making multiple crucial saves to keep the Super Eagles at bay.

Victor Osimhen, who replaced Boniface at halftime, and Moses Simon, who came on for Samuel Chukwueze, added fresh energy to Nigeria's attack but were unable to find the back of the net. The match ended in a stalemate, leaving Nigeria with four points from their first two games in Group D.
