If you recall that the incident occurred after Finidi allegedly accused Osimhen of withdrawing from national team games, prompting Osimhen to lash out at Finidi on social media.
Finidi revealed in an interview with Nigeria Info FM that he had sent a message to Osimhen, advising him that his reaction was not the best approach. However, Finidi stated that he did not hear back from Osimhen and has since moved on from the episode. "I sent him a message that it was not the best way, just someone telling you that coach said that and you're taking about me like I said it in an interview," Finidi explained. "From that point, I didn't hear from him, I moved on and I wish everybody well, only God will judge."
When asked about the possibility of sanctioning Osimhen with a ban from the Super Eagles, Finidi declined to comment, saying, "I don't know, he is there already, let him be. We cannot crucify him, he has made a mistake, we have moved on and life goes on." Finidi's response suggests that he has put the incident behind him and is focused on moving forward.
