According to an internal memorandum issued by the Clerk of the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, the new resumption date is now Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11 am. This supersedes the initial date of Tuesday, September 17, 2024, as previously scheduled.

The memo, titled "Change in Resumption Date from Summer Break," was circulated to all lawmakers on Wednesday, informing them of the Senate leadership's directive to shift the resumption date. The clerk's message stated: "Please be informed that the resumption date from the ongoing recess has been rescheduled from Tuesday, September 17, 2024, to Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11 am. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation."

This change in schedule has been confirmed through official channels, and lawmakers are expected to report to the Red Chamber on the new date, ready to tackle legislative duties and responsibilities.
