Wolves Winger Podence to Join Al Shabab in Permanent €6m Transfer

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Daniel Podence is poised to embark on a new chapter in his career, as a permanent transfer to Al Shabab beckons.
The €6 million deal will bring an end to Podence's four-and-a-half-year stint at Molineux, where he amassed 105 appearances and netted 16 goals.

Prior to his impending departure, Podence honed his skills on loan with Olympiacos last season. During his tenure with the Greek outfit, he showcased his prowess with 14 goals and 12 assists across 45 appearances in all competitions.

This loan spell was facilitated by an extension of his Wolves contract until 2025, with an option for an additional year.

The transfer agreement includes a 35% sell-on clause, ensuring Wolves will receive a substantial portion of any future transfer fee should Al Shabab opt to sell Podence. This clause safeguards Wolves' investment in the player and provides a potential source of future revenue. As Podence prepares to join the Saudi Pro League outfit, Wolves bid farewell to a talented winger who has contributed significantly to their squad during his tenure.
