Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old forward for the Spanish national team and FC Barcelona, sustained a muscle injury in his left leg during Spain's UEFA Nations League match against Denmark on October 12, 2024. The match ended in a 1-0 victory for Spain, with the winning goal scored by MartÃn Zubimendi in the 88th minute.
It was learnt that Yamal was substituted in the final minutes of the game due to the injury.
Spain's next fixture in the UEFA Nations League is against Serbia on October 15, 2024, at Estadio Nuevo Arcangel in Córdoba. The team is hopeful that Yamal's injury is not severe and that he will be able to recover in time for the match.
