Bruno Fernandes has revealed his surprise at Manchester United's decision to sell young talent Maxi Oyedele. The two met during Portugal's UEFA Nations League match against Poland, where Fernandes swapped shirts with Oyedele and posed for a photo. Fernandes later shared the snap on Instagram, captioning it: "Happy to see you doing great things. You deserve all the best kid."

Oyedele, who joined Manchester United at the age of eight, climbed through the youth ranks and won the FA Youth Cup two years ago. He participated in United's pre-season games this summer after a loan spell at Forest Green Rovers. Despite his potential, the Salford-born player, who has a Polish mother and Nigerian father, was unexpectedly sold to Legia Warsaw in August.

In the UEFA Nations League match, Portugal triumphed over Poland with a 3-1 victory. Bernardo Silva opened the scoring in the 26th minute, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo's goal in the 37th minute. Poland's Piotr Zielinski scored in the 78th minute, but an own goal by Jan Bednarek in the 88th minute sealed the win for Portugal.
