Libyan Officials Release Footage of Mediterranean Knights' Ordeal in Nigeria, CAF Investigation Underway Following Super Eagles' Stranded IncidentLibyan officials have released footage revealing the challenging ordeal faced by the Mediterranean Knights while in Nigeria. Both countries have been pointing fingers at each other following an incident where the Super Eagles were left unattended at Al Abraq Airport in Libya.

The situation remained unresolved for over 15 hours, prompting the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to decide to return home, with the players flying back to Nigeria. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has launched an investigation into the incident, and a decision is awaited.

In the first leg of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, Nigeria triumphed over Libya with a 1-0 victory. The decisive goal was scored by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the 86th minute.
