BBNaija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae, recently addressed the controversy surrounding his altercation with his wife, Kassia, on August 20, 2024. In an interview with Pulse on "The Outsyd" segment, Kellyrae clarified his motivations behind confronting Kassia about allegedly touching fellow housemate Fairne's nipples.

According to Kellyrae, his reaction was not driven by jealousy, but rather a desire to protect Kassia from potential conflict. He explained, "The thing is, I know Kassia can be...if she wants to play, she plays too much." He feared that if Kassia initiated physical contact with Fairne, Fairne might reciprocate, leading to a potentially volatile situation.

"I wouldn't want a situation whereby she'd have a fight with a guy, and I couldn't stand it," Kellyrae emphasized. He reiterated that his concern was not rooted in jealousy, but rather a desire to prevent escalation. "That didn't come out of jealousy...But that particular one didn't come out of jealousy at all," he stated.

While acknowledging that he had felt uneasy about Kassia's interactions with other male housemates, Kellyrae stressed that his reaction in this specific instance was motivated by a desire to protect his wife. As he put it, "She can't have a fight with a guy, I'd take over, do you understand?"
