Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Takehiro Tomiyasu's injury ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.
Arteta confirmed that Tomiyasu is still unavailable due to a lingering injury, with no clear timeline for his return. "Tomiyasu's still not available, we don't know when he will be back," Arteta said.
"He’s gonna be away now for a few weeks to continue with his treatment and change his environment a bit. He's a top guy. He feels terrible being out. Hopefully, it can unlock him."
Tomiyasu, who has been struggling with this issue for several weeks, will now focus on further treatment away from the team to aid his recovery.
This absence adds to Arsenal's injury concerns, especially as they prepare for a crucial game against Nottingham Forest, which is vital for their aspirations this season.
