FC Internazionale Milano has announced the extension of Denzel Dumfries' contract, securing the talented Dutch defender's stay with the club until June 30, 2028.
Dumfries, who joined Inter Milan in 2021, has been a key player for the team, contributing significantly to their successes over the past few seasons.
Since his arrival, Dumfries has made 147 appearances for Inter Milan, scoring 13 goals and providing 21 assists. This season alone, he has played 15 matches and netted 2 goals. His impressive performances have been instrumental in Inter Milan's achievements, including winning the Italian Serie A title, two Italian Cups, an Italian Super Cup, and reaching the Champions League final.
Inter Milan's sporting director expressed his delight with the extension, stating, "Denzel's dedication, speed, and relentless energy have been invaluable to our team. We are thrilled to have him continue his journey with us."
Dumfries' contract extension comes amidst interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Everton, and Aston Villa. However, the 28-year-old has committed to Inter Milan, where he has become a fan favorite and a crucial part of Simone Inzaghi's tactical setup.
