DSS operatives have arrested a suspected vote-buyer during the Ondo State governorship election.

The individual was apprehended at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007, near St. Stephen’s Primary School in Akure, Ondo’s capital, around 9 a.m. on election day.

The suspect was found carrying two bags filled with cash, believed to be intended for bribing voters to support a particular candidate.


The man has since been taken into custody by the Department of State Services for further investigation. This action is part of ongoing efforts to address electoral malpractice and preserve the integrity of the election process.
