Hansi Flick has confirmed that Lamine Yamal will miss Barcelona's La Liga match against Celta Vigo on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
Flick stated, “We won’t take any risks. He will be back as soon as he feels 100% good and fit.”
Yamal, who has been instrumental this season with 12 goal contributions in 12 La Liga games, initially sustained the injury during Spain's October international break. While medical assessments ruled out structural damage, the winger continues to deal with lingering muscle discomfort, which resurfaced during Barcelona's training earlier this week.
Barcelona, looking to retain their strong form, also face a crucial UEFA Champions League game against Brest on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, followed by another La Liga fixture against Las Palmas on November 30.
