Manchester City Receives Injury Blow as Matheus Nunes Withdraws, Samu Costa Called Up
Matheus Nunes, the Manchester City midfielder, has been ruled out of Portugal's upcoming international fixtures due to an injury.
In light of Nunes's absence, Portugal manager Roberto MartÃnez has called up Samu Costa of RCD Mallorca to fill the void. Costa will join the squad for their upcoming Nations League matches against Poland on November 15th and Croatia on November 18th.
This is the second injury setback for Portugal in recent weeks, as Pedro Gonçalves was also ruled out due to injury. The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has confirmed that the squad has been reduced to 25 players as a result of these injuries.
Manchester City suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in their last Premier League match on November 9th. Erling Haaland scored the opener for City, but goals from Joao Pedro and Matt O'Riley secured the victory for Brighton
