Manchester United has officially announced the coaching team that will accompany Rúben Amorim, their newly appointed manager, at Old Trafford. The team includes assistant coaches Carlos Fernandes, Adelio Candido, and Emanuel Ferro, goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital, and fitness coach Paulo Barreira. Amorim's contract with Manchester United extends until June 2027, with an option for an additional year. The club paid €12.65 million (£10.6 million) in total compensation to Sporting CP, including a release clause. At United, Amorim is set to earn £6.5 million annually, over three times his previous salary at Sporting.
First Game in Charge
Amorim officially began his tenure on November 11, 2024. His first match as Manchester United manager will take place on November 24, when the team visits Ipswich Town in a Premier League fixture. Following this, his Old Trafford debut will be on November 28 in a Europa League clash against Bodø/Glimt. His first domestic home game is scheduled against Everton on December 1.
