
Nigeria has officially qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, marking its 21st participation in the tournament.
The Super Eagles secured their qualification after Libya clinched a 1-0 victory over Rwanda on November 14, 2024. This result eliminated any remaining chance for Rwanda to surpass Nigeria in the standings, securing Nigeria's position at the top of Group D.
Meanwhile Nigeria will face Benin Republic later tonight in their Group D clash with the Super Eagles aiming for Victory.

The Super Eagles' advancement was significantly bolstered by Libya's win, which helped Nigeria maintain a comfortable lead in their group.
