Rúben Amorim officially started his role as Manchester United's manager on November 11, 2024, arriving at the club’s Carrington training complex, where he was greeted by CEO Omar Berrada and sporting director Dan Ashworth. 
He had flown in earlier that day, accompanied by a team of trusted assistants, after finalizing his move from Sporting CP. The club celebrated the moment with a social media post that warmly welcomed Amorim, emphasizing that Carrington is now "home."
Amorim's first match in charge of Manchester United will take place on November 24, after the international break, against Ipswich Town at Portman Road. The match will be a tough challenge as Ipswich, managed by former United coach Kieran McKenna, are newly promoted to the Premier League. Following that, Amorim’s first home game will be against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on November 28.
