Ruben Amorim has departed for Manchester to begin his tenure as Manchester United's new head coach.
The former Sporting Lisbon manager was accompanied by his five assistants—Carlos Fernandes, Adelio Candido, Paulo Barreira, Emanuel Ferro, and Jorge Vital—on a flight that departed at 11 a.m. on Monday.
Amorim bid an emotional farewell to Sporting Lisbon on Sunday night, leading the team to a dramatic 4-2 comeback victory over Braga, just hours before embarking on his journey to take over at Old Trafford.
