Nigerian singer Ruger, has shared his perspective on why he gets booked for more shows than some of his colleagues.
In a post on his X handle, Ruger explained that while an artist may have numerous hit songs, it doesn’t guarantee success on stage. He emphasized that his stage presence goes beyond his musical talent. "Let me explain to you why I get booked so much," he said. "I don’t just come on stage to sing, even though I know I’m very good at that. I bring my whole personality onto the stage; it’s not a joke."
Ruger also highlighted that having hit songs alone is not enough to succeed in live performances. "You can have a million hit songs and still be clueless on stage, even at a 200-capacity venue," he added, underscoring the importance of an engaging and authentic stage presence.
