Davido Crowns Odumodublvck as Nigeria’s Biggest Rapper and Teases Upcoming Single
David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has hailed Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, as the "current biggest rapper in Nigeria." The acclaimed Afrobeats artist made this statement during an appearance on The Baller Alert Show while discussing his upcoming fifth studio album and its lead single, "Funds."
Speaking about the single, Davido shared, “I have another lead single coming out soon titled ‘Funds.’ It’s featuring the current biggest rapper in Nigeria, Odumodublvck, and Chike. Chike is the Bryson Tiller of Nigeria.” He emphasized his vision of creating “real African records” that reflect his roots while maintaining his global appeal.
Upcoming Album in 2025
The highly anticipated album is scheduled for release in early 2025 and promises to blend authentic African sounds with Davido's international music style. He reiterated his commitment to staying connected to his Nigerian heritage, saying, “I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now?” This statement reflects his pride in African artistry and his role in promoting it on the global stage.
