Gabriel Jesus celebrated his goal for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace on December 18, 2024, by placing the ball under his shirt to mimic a baby bump and sucking his thumb.

This heartfelt gesture was a dedication to his unborn child, as he and his partner, Raiane Lima, recently announced they are expecting their second child.

Crystal Palace took the lead early in the 4th minute with a goal from Jean-Philippe Mateta, who capitalized on a defensive error by Arsenal's Jakub Kiwior.

Despite this early setback, Arsenal responded strongly in the second half. In the 54th minute, Gabriel Jesus scored the equalizer after receiving a brilliant pass from Martin Ødegaard. Jesus held off Palace defender Chalobah and calmly dinked the ball over goalkeeper Dean Henderson to bring Arsenal level.

As of now, the game remains tied at 1-1. Arsenal continues to push for another goal to secure their place in the competition.

Earlier this week, Gabriel Jesus confirmed on his Instagram that he and Raiane are expecting their second child.
