Goals from Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, and Jeremy Doku were enough to secure the win for the reigning champions.

The match started with Manchester City taking control early on. In the 8th minute, Kevin De Bruyne crossed the ball to the back post, where Bernardo Silva tapped it in to give City the lead. De Bruyne continued to influence the game, scoring the second goal in the 31st minute with a powerful finish after a mazy run from Jeremy Doku.

City extended their lead in the 57th minute when Erling Haaland played a perfectly-weighted pass to Doku, who curled a fine effort into the back of the net. The rest of the match saw City comfortably holding onto their lead, with Nottingham Forest unable to break through.

This victory brings Manchester City within nine points of league leaders Liverpool, providing a much-needed boost to their title defense.
