Since joining from Chelsea in August 2024, Sterling has made only two Premier League starts, both in October, and has primarily been utilized as a substitute.

Arteta has favored players such as Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Ethan Nwaneri in the winger positions.

Despite his limited involvement, Sterling remains determined to stay at Arsenal for the duration of his loan. He has expressed no intention of seeking an early termination of the agreement during the January transfer window.

Manager Mikel Arteta has acknowledged the challenge of providing sufficient playing time for Sterling amid a congested fixture schedule and squad rotation.

Arteta has praised Sterling's professionalism and positive influence within the team, indicating a desire to offer him more opportunities during the busy festive period.
