
Chiamaka Nnadozie has been honored as the Women's Goalkeeper of the Year at the 2024 CAF Awards, held on December 16 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco. This marks her second consecutive win, following her initial recognition in 2023.
Nnadozie, who plays for Paris FC, has had an outstanding year. She was named Goalkeeper of the Season in the 2023–2024 French Women's League, contributing significantly to Paris FC's third-place finish. Internationally, she represented Nigeria at the 2024 Paris Olympics, delivering commendable performances despite the team's early exit.
The other nominees for the Women's Goalkeeper of the Year award were Christiane Endler of Lyon and Chloé N'Gazi of Fleury.
In addition to her goalkeeping accolade, Nnadozie was a finalist for the Women's Player of the Year award, alongside Zambia's Barbara Banda and Morocco's Sanna Mssoudy.
Nnadozie's achievements underscore her status as one of Africa's premier goalkeepers, inspiring many in the realm of women's football.
