The renowned artist expressed his belief that couples should date for at least ten years before considering marriage, emphasizing that this extended period allows partners to thoroughly understand each other, their families, and the dynamics of living together.
"People should date for 10 years before getting married because that's long enough to know the person, their family, and who you're going to deal with when you move in together," Khalifa explained.
Drawing from personal experience, Khalifa also touched on the complexities of cohabitation before marriage. He noted that living together can reveal different aspects of a partner's personality, saying, "If you don't move in right away, you'll learn that there's one version of the person when you're not sharing things and a different version when you are."
Khalifa's perspectives are informed by his own journey. The rapper married model Amber Rose in 2013, the same year they welcomed their son, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2016. Currently, he is in a relationship with Aimee Aguilar, his partner of five years, with whom he recently welcomed a daughter.
