Arsenal in Advanced Talks to Sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves

Arsenal Football Club is reportedly in advanced discussions to acquire Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This move aims to strengthen Arsenal's attacking options following injuries to key players, including Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling.

Cunha, who joined Wolves from Atlético Madrid in 2023 for £44 million, has been a consistent performer in the Premier League. In the previous season, he netted 14 goals across all competitions and has continued his impressive form this season, scoring nine goals in 17 Premier League appearances.

Arsenal's interest in Cunha is not new; the club has been monitoring his progress for the past three seasons. The recent injuries to Saka and Sterling have intensified Arsenal's pursuit of the forward, as they seek to bolster their attacking lineup.

However, Wolves are currently engaged in a relegation battle and are reportedly reluctant to part with one of their star players during the winter transfer window. The club is also keen on securing Cunha's long-term future by extending his contract.
