Besiktas Football Club is poised to appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as its new head coach. According to reports from ESPN, the Turkish club is finalizing negotiations with the former Manchester United manager.
Solskjaer, 51, has been without a managerial role since departing Manchester United in 2021, where he led the team to a second-place finish in the Premier League and reached the Europa League final. The Norwegian football icon is expected to be present at the upcoming Besiktas-Samsunspor match and will assume coaching responsibilities for the subsequent game against Athletic Bilbao.

The appointment follows the dismissal of Giovanni van Bronckhorst last month, leaving Besiktas in search of a new head coach. The club has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Solskjaer on a contract valid until June 2026.

This development marks Solskjaer's return to management after a three-year hiatus, bringing his experience and leadership to the Turkish Super Lig.
