Ben Godfrey, the former Everton defender, is likely to leave Atalanta in the upcoming January transfer window as he is no longer seen as a central figure in the club’s plans. 
Despite joining Atalanta in June 2024, Godfrey has had limited involvement, making just a few appearances and failing to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup. He was even excluded from the squad for the Super Cup, signaling his diminishing role at the club.
Discussions are expected to take place in the coming weeks regarding his potential departure. Atalanta is reportedly open to allowing him to leave, with several Premier League clubs showing interest, including Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest, who could offer him a return to England.
