Marcus Rashford Left Out of Manchester United Squad Again for Europa League Amid Transfer Speculation and Manager’s Selection Stance

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been omitted from the squad for the upcoming UEFA Europa League match against FCSB in Bucharest.
Despite participating in training sessions at Carrington, the 27-year-old has not featured for the team since December 12, 2024, when he expressed a desire for a "new challenge" away from Old Trafford.

Manager Ruben Amorim has previously indicated that Rashford's exclusion is due to concerns over his commitment and performance in training. Following a recent victory over Fulham, Amorim stated he would prefer to field the goalkeeping coach over a player not giving maximum effort.

Club legends have also weighed in on the situation. Paul Scholes suggested that Rashford should be removed from the dressing room due to attitude and performance issues, emphasizing the importance of setting a positive example for younger players.

As the January transfer window approaches its conclusion, speculation about Rashford's future intensifies, with clubs like Barcelona expressing interest in the England international.

In Rashford's absence, Manchester United secured a 2-1 victory over Rangers in their previous Europa League fixture, moving them to fourth place in the group standings. A win against FCSB would guarantee an automatic spot in the Round of 16.
