Mikel Arteta has expressed significant concern following Gabriel Jesus' injury during Arsenal's FA Cup third-round clash against Manchester United.

Speaking after the match, Arteta said, “Gabriel Jesus? Big worry, that’s my feeling. He had to come off on a stretcher touching his knee… so unfortunately, it’s not looking good.”

The highly anticipated match ended 1-1 after extra time, with Manchester United defeating Arsenal 5-3 on penalties. Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring in the 52nd minute with a clinical finish during a swift counter-attack. Arsenal equalized in the 63rd minute through Gabriel Magalhães, who capitalized on a mistake by United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

Despite several opportunities, neither side could find the winner in extra time. The game was decided by penalties, with United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir making crucial saves, including denying Kai Havertz. Joshua Zirkzee secured United's victory with the decisive penalty.

Gabriel Jesus was stretchered off in the second half after an apparent knee injury, raising concerns about his availability for upcoming fixtures. Arteta emphasized the uncertainty of the situation, stating that further medical evaluations would determine the extent of the injury.

Manchester United advances to the fourth round of the FA Cup, where they will face Leicester City. Arsenal will now focus on their upcoming Premier League match against Tottenham, though they face significant injury challenges with Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Ethan Nwaneri all sidelined. Supporters and analysts will eagerly await updates on Jesus' condition, hoping for a swift recovery for the Brazilian forward.
