Füllkrug, who joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in August 2024 for a reported fee of £27 million, has faced multiple injury challenges this season. Earlier in the campaign, he missed two months due to an Achilles strain before returning to action in December, during which he scored twice in the Premier League.
His absence compounds West Ham's current injury concerns, with captain Jarrod Bowen sidelined due to a fractured foot and striker Michail Antonio recovering from leg surgery following a serious road accident last month.
In response to these setbacks, the Hammers are actively seeking to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window. Reports suggest that the club is considering a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, who may be available for a loan deal.
West Ham, currently 14th in the Premier League standings, is set to host Fulham on Tuesday in new manager Graham Potter's first league match in charge.
