Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Destiny Udogie will be unavailable for around six weeks following a hamstring injury. The left-back suffered the setback during Spurs' recent 2-2 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, further adding to the team's injury woes.
In a statement, Postecoglou said, "Destiny Udogie... it looks like around six weeks out for him." He also confirmed that Rodrigo Bentancur would be sidelined for their upcoming clash due to suspension, stating, "We lose Bentancur suspended. None of the injured ones are back yet."
Challenges for Tottenham
Tottenham, currently 11th in the Premier League, has experienced a sharp decline in form. After a promising start to the season, they have managed just one win in their last seven league outings. Additionally, their home record has been concerning, with five consecutive games without a victory—their worst run at home since 2008.
Upcoming Fixture
Tottenham will face Newcastle United on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With several key players unavailable, Postecoglou’s side will look to turn their fortunes around against a strong Newcastle team, which is battling for a top-four finish.
