Arteta on Havertz's Shock Injury: "A Big Blow, But Arsenal Will Stay Unpredictable"

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Kai Havertz's recent injury, describing it as an unforeseen setback for the team. Havertz sustained a hamstring injury during a training session in Dubai, which will require surgery and sideline him for the remainder of the season. 

Arteta detailed the incident, stating, "He was going to stop a shot after a set piece and stretched his leg; he felt his hamstring." 

Despite this challenge, Arteta remains optimistic about the team's prospects. He emphasized the squad's resilience, noting that they have previously coped with injuries to key players such as Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino, Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Jesus. Arteta stated, "Let's see what the team is made of." 

In light of the current injury crisis, Arteta is considering signing a free agent to bolster the attacking options. He acknowledged the need to explore all possible solutions to maintain the team's competitive edge. 

Looking ahead, Arsenal is preparing to face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. Arteta is focused on maintaining momentum in the Premier League title race, especially after league leaders Liverpool recently dropped points. He emphasized the importance of generating momentum in the coming weeks.
