Aston Villa Completes Axel Disasi Loan Deal from Chelsea for £5 Million Fee

Aston Villa has secured the loan signing of central defender Axel Disasi from Chelsea for the remainder of the 2024–2025 season. The agreement includes a loan fee of approximately £5 million, with Villa covering Disasi's wages. 

Disasi, 26, joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in August 2023 and has since made 61 appearances for the club. He has also earned five caps for the French national team, debuting during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. 

This acquisition marks Villa's third loan signing in the current transfer window, following agreements with Manchester United's Marcus Rashford and Paris Saint-Germain's Marco Asensio. The club's proactive approach in the transfer market underscores their commitment to strengthening the squad for the remainder of the season. 

Disasi's arrival is expected to bolster Villa's defensive options as they continue their campaign in the Premier League and European competitions.
