Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has resumed training following a significant knee injury. The 32-year-old German international began individual sessions at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, marking a positive step in his recovery.
Ter Stegen sustained a complete rupture of the patella tendon in his right knee during a La Liga match against Villarreal on September 22, 2024. He underwent surgery the following day and has since been focused on rehabilitation.

Barcelona's head coach, Hansi Flick, provided an update on Ter Stegen's progress, stating, "He started training, a first step. He improved a lot. We are happy. Everything is on the right track."

While the exact timeline for Ter Stegen's return to competitive action remains uncertain, the club remains optimistic about his recovery. Reports suggest that he could be fit to play as early as May 2025.

In the meantime, Barcelona has relied on goalkeeper Iñaki Peña and, more recently, Wojciech Szczęsny, who joined the club in October 2024, to cover for Ter Stegen's absence.

Ter Stegen's dedication to his rehabilitation and the support from his teammates and coaching staff underscore the collective effort to ensure his successful return to the pitch.
