Dante has officially extended his contract with OGC Nice until the summer of 2026, ensuring the veteran defender remains at the club for a tenth consecutive season. The 41-year-old Brazilian, who has been a cornerstone of Nice’s defense, continues to play a crucial role in the team’s ambitions.

The extension comes as Dante recently celebrated his 300th appearance for the club in a match against Lens. Despite his age, he has maintained a high level of performance, making 24 tackles, 22 interceptions, and 39 clearances in 15 Ligue 1 appearances this season. His leadership on and off the pitch has been invaluable to the team.

Dante has previously expressed his desire to retire at Nice while competing in the UEFA Champions League. He has been in discussions with the club about his future, and this contract renewal aligns with his ambitions.
