Liverpool Thrash Tottenham 4-0 to Reach Carabao Cup Final Against Newcastle

Liverpool delivered a commanding performance last night, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 at Anfield to secure their place in the Carabao Cup final. This decisive victory overturned a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, resulting in a 4-1 aggregate win. 

The match saw goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Virgil van Dijk. Gakpo opened the scoring, bringing the aggregate score level. Shortly after halftime, Salah converted a penalty, giving Liverpool the lead. Szoboszlai and van Dijk added to the tally, sealing the comprehensive victory. 

Liverpool's dominance was evident throughout the match, as they displayed superior speed, sharpness, and hunger under manager Arne Slot. Tottenham, grappling with an ongoing injury crisis, struggled to mount a significant threat, managing only one notable attempt from Son Heung-min. 

This win propels Liverpool into the Carabao Cup final, where they will face Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium. The final is scheduled for March 16, 2025.
