In the 16th minute, Leyton Orient took a shock lead when Donley spotted Ortega off his line and unleashed a long-range strike from just inside the halfway mark. The ball, aided by a deflection, sailed over the City goalkeeper and into the net, sending the home crowd into raptures.

Despite making several changes to their lineup, Pep Guardiola’s side struggled to find rhythm in the first half, with Orient’s defense holding firm against the Premier League champions.

Guardiola made tactical adjustments after the break, introducing key players to regain control. Rico Lewis eventually leveled the score in the 56th minute, with his shot deflecting off Abdukodir Khusanov before beating Orient’s goalkeeper Josh Keeley.
