In a commanding display at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City secured a 4-0 victory over Newcastle United, propelled by a remarkable first-half hat-trick from Omar Marmoush. The Egyptian forward, who joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January, showcased his prowess by netting three goals within a 14-minute span.
Marmoush opened the scoring in the 19th minute, skillfully lobbing Newcastle's goalkeeper Martin Dubravka after receiving a precise long pass from Ederson. This assist marked Ederson's sixth in the Premier League, setting a new record for goalkeepers.

Just five minutes later, Marmoush doubled the lead. Ilkay Gündogan threaded a through-ball into the penalty area, which Marmoush controlled before drilling a low shot into the bottom corner. He completed his hat-trick in the 33rd minute, converting a well-placed cross from Savinho with a composed finish.

Reflecting on his performance, Marmoush expressed his elation: "It's my first hat-trick in my career. I'd like to thank my teammates, the staff, and the coach for helping me achieve this moment." He highlighted his inaugural goal as his favorite, noting the "unbelievable" feeling of scoring at the Etihad.

Manager Pep Guardiola praised Marmoush's seamless integration into the squad, stating, "We knew of his quality from his time in Germany. His performance today showed what he is capable of."

The victory elevates Manchester City to fourth place in the Premier League standings, providing a significant morale boost ahead of their upcoming Champions League fixture against Real Madrid.
