Tottenham Hotspur's central defender, Radu DrăguÈ™in, has sustained a significant anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, ruling him out for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season. The 23-year-old Romanian international suffered the injury during a Europa League match against Elfsborg, where he landed awkwardly after attempting a clearance.

This injury compounds Tottenham's defensive challenges, as key players such as Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have also been sidelined due to injuries. Manager Ange Postecoglou has expressed frustration over the team's mounting injury list, which has contributed to the club's current position in 14th place in the Premier League.

In response to DrăguÈ™in's injury, Tottenham has intensified efforts to reinforce their defensive lineup. The club has reportedly made a £20 million offer for Burnley defender Maxime Estève, though Burnley values the 22-year-old at £30 million. Estève has been a standout performer in the Championship this season, making 30 appearances for Burnley.

Additionally, Tottenham is nearing a loan agreement for Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel, aiming to bolster their attacking options.
