It's been learnt that Kepa, 30, has been on loan at Bournemouth since August 2024, following a previous loan spell at Real Madrid during the 2023/24 season.
During his tenure with the Cherries, Kepa has experienced a resurgence under the guidance of manager Andoni Iraola, with whom he shares a history from their time at Athletic Bilbao.
Meanwhile Kepa's performance has been instrumental in Bournemouth's campaign, contributing to their current 10th-place standing in the Premier League and positioning them for a potential historic qualification for European competitions. He has made 25 appearances
While Bournemouth are keen to finalize a permanent deal, financial considerations may pose a challenge. Kepa's initial transfer to Chelsea in 2018 was valued at £71.6 million, and despite a contract extension with Chelsea until 2026, Bournemouth might find it difficult to meet a substantial transfer fee. Reports suggest that the club may struggle to afford more than £20 million for the goalkeeper.
