Super Eagles' head coach, Éric Chelle, has unveiled the final 23-man squad for Nigeria's upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe. The squad features a blend of seasoned internationals and emerging talents, including two home-based players.
Notably, team captain Ahmed Musa, initially part of the provisional 39-man list, has been omitted from the final selection. Other absentees include goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and forward Cyril Dessers.

The Super Eagles are set to face Group C leaders Rwanda in Kigali on March 21, followed by a home fixture against Zimbabwe's Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on March 25. Currently positioned fourth in their group with three points from four matches, Nigeria aims to secure maximum points in these encounters to bolster their chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Head coach Éric Chelle, appointed in January 2025, brings experience from his tenure with Mali and is tasked with revitalizing Nigeria's World Cup aspirations.
