Ex Liverpool Flop Loris Karius Shines on Schalke Debut as Wife Diletta Leotta Cheers from Stands

German goalkeeper Loris Karius made a triumphant debut for FC Schalke 04 on Friday night, delivering a standout performance that contributed significantly to his team's 1-0 victory over Preußen Münster in the 2. Bundesliga. 

Saw Karius, who joined Schalke in January 2025, showcased his goalkeeping prowess with two crucial saves, earning him the title of man of the match. 

In attendance to support Karius was his wife, renowned Italian television presenter Diletta Leotta. The couple, who began their relationship in 2022, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Aria, in August 2023. They subsequently married in a private ceremony on the island of Vulcano, Sicily, in June 2024. 

Leotta, celebrated for her work as DAZN's lead Serie A host in Italy, has been a steadfast supporter of Karius throughout his career. Her presence in the stands during his Schalke debut underscored their strong personal and professional bond.
