In 2013, Negredo joined Manchester City, contributing to their Premier League and League Cup victories during the 2013-2014 season. He later returned to Spain to play for Valencia and had stints with Middlesbrough, Beşiktaş, Al Nasr, Cádiz, and Real Valladolid.

Post-retirement, Negredo is pursuing a coaching career and is currently involved with Sevilla FC's youth academy, aiming to impart his extensive football knowledge to the next generation.
